Tandanya

From Australia (2009-02)

I went Tandanya on Monday morning. It is the National Aboriginal Cultural Institute named and people can see Aboriginal arts, which is not only fine arts but performing arts. It seemed interesting to me since I became increasingly interested in Aboriginal cultures since I saw and heard many things in Australia. I cannot explain well, but it is sure that I was fascinated by nature in inland of Australia and colours and dynamic design of Aboriginal arts reminded me of it.

Unfortunately, there wasn't any performance when I went because it was Monday, but paintings and sculptures in the gallery were splendid. The institute sell many of exhibits and it was inexpensive as fine arts. I would have bought one of them if I had had more space on a wall in my apartment. Instead of a painting, I bought a music CD of didgeridoo.

その日の朝は、タンダニア（Tandanya）に行きました。アボリジニ文化研究所のことで、ここではアボリジニの人達のアート作品を見ることができます。オーストラリアでいろいろなものを見聞きして、すっかりアボリジニ文化に興味を持ってしまったため、ここも非常に面白そうだと思えたのです。上手くは説明できないのですが、私にはオーストリアの内陸の自然というのが魅力的で、アボリジニ・アートの色やダイナミックなデザインがそれを思い起こさせるのです。

私が訪れたのは月曜日で、残念ながらパフォーマンスを見ることはできませんでしたが、ギャラリーの絵画と彫刻は素晴らしかったです。この施設では展示品を売っており、それらは画廊等で売られている絵画に比べれば高くはありません。自分の部屋の壁がもう少し広く空いていたら、一枚くらい買ってもいいかな、と思うくらいでした。絵の代わりといってはなんですが、私はここでディジュリドゥの曲が入ったCDを買いました。
